The "kits/c" directory contains the most recent version of C-Kermit 5A
for UNIX, VAX/VMS, the Apple Macintosh, the Commodore Amiga, OS/2, OS-9,
and Data General AOS/VS.
The "kits/ms.tar.Z-split" directory contains the most recent version of
MS-Kermit for MS-DOS systems in fourteen parts:
ms.tar.Z-split/part0[1-9] and ms.tar.Z-split/part1[0-4]
The source and documentation for C-Kermit within kits/c is organized
as follows in UUNET's archive in order to minimize the amount you need to
transfer:
src.tar.Z-split/part0[1-6] Basic source and docs
[everything req'd for UNIX systems, and the base for the others]
amiga.tar.Z extra source needed for Amiga's [cki*.*]
aos-vs.tar.Z extra source needed for DG MV AOS/VS [ckd*.*]
atari-src.tar.Z extra source needed for Atari ST's [cks*.*]
mac.tar.Z extra source needed for Macintosh's [ckm*.*]
os2.tar.Z extra source needed for OS/2 systems [cko*.*]
os9.tar.Z extra source needed for OS-9 systems [ck9*.*]
vms.tar.Z extra source needed for VMS systems [ckv*.*]
Regardless of which type of system you have, grab the basic source
kit. It contains all the ck[abceuw]*.* files required for each system
type.
If extra source is listed for your system type, you must grab it as well
as the basic source kit to build C-Kermit.
